Awesome! I had a list of about 3 guys I wanted to see sign for that 4RW spot and Gagner was top of that list smile Great leader and a guy this locker room could use.

Its actually ridiculous he keeps only getting 750k-1 million. He is probably better than like 1/3 of 3rd liners around the league. But he is labelled as a failed top 6 forward and that seems to be how he is treated by the league. Similarly for Ennis

Kind of was hoping for Toronto to reunite him with JT but looking at what the team will look like got a feeling not many vets will be playing in the forward group

This is a great signing. At worse, I see him as a 4th liner who will be a veteran presence in the locker room.

I'll miss Gagner, great professional to have in the locker room. Always did what was asked of him with the Wings. A shame that most of his career he's been on less than mediocre teams.

It's crazy. I'm not saying he's some stud. He's not. But there is a reason most fans want to sign him. Because he's solid and provides good value. It's weird
