Would be a solid contract for a team in their prime that's competing for cups (Colorado, Tampa ETC), but I don't see Vancouver as being anywhere near that, so I voted "No".

Way to make what feels like 90% of the AGMs of the past season redundant guys...

Usually it doesn't go 100% smoothly when a 35 year old is being paid 8 million dollars annually

But it seems to be the norm this offseason (Kadri, Huberdeau) so I guess it's acceptable, considering he was a top 10 scorer. I hope for the Canucks' sake he can replicate last season to an extent

It's actually 8 Million, Capfriendly just made an error

If he can keep up the point per game pace he's been on here it's a good contract, but years 5-7 of that contact are going to hurt

People are gonna sh*t on the deal because half the fanbase had him out the door already but if the trade offers were really as bad as people have said this is pretty good given the circumstances. Especially if the last two years are structured properly.

He'd get a 1st + at least 1 very good prospect at the TD. There's not really a market for players with cap right now.

He doesn't really need to tho. As long as he's near at a PPG the contract is perfectly fine

Miller was far and away the best player on the team last year, and while he can get visibly frustrated at times, he plays with massive amount of heart. It's always risky signing an older player to a long deal like this, but I think he can deliver, I voted yes

If he played on the East Coast sure. But given that the Ranger's best offer last trade deadline was two busts and 30 OA, I wouldn't be so sure.

This contract sucks, but I'm sure Canucks fans are just happy to bring an end to all the trades

Considering you're a Canucks fan, you're very likely to overate them going into the season, but I don't even see them making the playoffs this year. There's a big difference from being a WC team (best case) then them being a SC Favorite.

That's a lot less than I expected.

Also kinda shocking to see people say this contract sucks. Seems kinda low to me. Obviously like most Ufa long deals it will age badly at the end. But he's not that old and he's a ppg player. This seems pretty good to fair.

I don't think I'm overrating them, maybe you're underrating them. Canucks can easily make the playoffs this upcoming season

One top pairing RD turns them into a contender. Obviously, that's hard to find but they are closer than people think.
