Lol would you trade Suzuki for a cap dump, a prospect your team doesn't need, and a 1st round pick with so many conditions that it's practically worthless for this decade?

Oh youre one of those type of people. "Look at me! Im so smart. I think Anderson has negative value"

Dude, even considering Anderson has good value, this proposal is a joke. Robertson is a 23 years old PPG player you can't be serious. You could replace Anderson with Caufield and I would probably still say no if Im Jim Nill...

Did you forget the Debrincat trade? Hes better than Robertson by a decent way and hes only went for 7th overall (Guhle and our 1st) and a 2nd + 3rd (Anderson + Khudobin cap dump)

After the Debrincat trade, youll be surprised how 'little' Robertson gets in return

Chicago made a bad trade. Doesn’t mean that’s the norm

I noticed how you skirted the question instead of defending your ridiculous proposal. If the common consensus is he's a camp dump then clearly you are the moron.
If he is so valuable then why do so many Habs fans want to see him on another team tough guy???

Because they have too many wingers in the first place in the NHL. They have wingers in the minors and prospects who will need a spot soon and he doesnt fit timeline of this team. And you need the money to work so its either him who has good value (Habs have rejected some good trades for him) or actual cap dumps like Armia and Hoffman

That sets the value for the league. Youre asking for Eichel value when hes nowhere near that.

Yes I know lol that is quite obvious. But Habs fans seem to think every member of their terribly mediocre team is actually insanely valuable. This clown probably would argue that Suzuki is more valuable than Matthews 😂

I’d consider JRob and Cat as pretty close. Like I said in my other comment, just because Chicago made a bad trade doesn’t mean everybody else is gonna make a bad trade. I wouldn’t give 7OA for Guhle and the Montreal first either but that’s just me

So somehow the Habs terrible roster construction is other team's problems? Are you five? Since when did NHL GMs take that into consideration when trading? Jesus dude get out of your mom's basement and learn how nhl trading works

We can agree to disagree. Cat grade doesn’t set the value for the league. It’s one bad trade that supports your narrative

First of all, he's not. Pretty sure Dallas would never have traded him for the 7th overall. Then you cant compare value in a trade and value in another trade. There is always age, contracts, capspace, where teams are at in the process for contention.

But lets just compare value here for fun. Would you trade Suzuki for
Gurianov, big strong 20 goal winger similar to Anderson
Harley, 1st round pick defensman same age as Guhle and drafted 2 spots after
A 1st that will never be top 10 with all your conditions
A 4th and a 7th

Even if the comparisons are not 100% accurate, pretty sure your answer is a big fat no!

Fiala trade was a 1st (19th) and Brock Faber (B- prospect)

Eichel trade was Tuch (2nd line winger), Krebs (A- /B+ propsect), 1st (16th) and 2nd

Reinhart trade was 1st (28th) Levi (at the time was a B- prospect since he was a 7th round pick)

Buchnevich trade was Blais and 2nd

There are players better and worse than Robertson there so the value falls between those trades.

Suzuki isnt holding out on a contract. Suzuki is a future captain. Center is a higher value position than a winger.

Harley is nowhere near the same as Guhle. Harley has the same floor but way lower ceiling than Guhle. Anderson is better than Gurianov. And for the 1st, most likely a 6-10 pick in 2024. A stronger draft than 2022.

You also forgot about the Khudobin cap eating which easily costs a team a 2nd rounder at the very least

Thank you for the productive comment. And I don’t mean to turn my nose up at Guhle we just don’t need LHD. I consider Robertson to be even with Cat and more valuable than Fiala. Reinhart and Buch are def a lower tier. I feel like Dallas players don’t get the national attention other players do. No disrespect to Pavs, but Robertson really drives that line. We can argue about his value all day long, but if Dallas’ owner gets over himself and let’s Nill sign Robertson it’s all for nothing as he isn’t going anywhere

OEL is signed the same length as Anderson but an extra 1.7 million for an OFD that doesnt put up points. Anderson at the very least can play his role effectively.

I don’t think Robertson is holding out. I think he knows what he’s worth and is patiently waiting for Gagliardi to wrap his head around it

I’d like to see Harley allowed to play his game before saying Guhle has the higher ceiling but you’re likely not wrong. Tho I think it’s closer than you think

Guri and Anderson are very similar imo. Guri is a better skater. And similar to Harley I’d like to see him used properly. Bowness is a dinosaur

Dobby def costs a second to dump in this market which is why I’m hoping we just bridge Robertson for 7 and bury Dobby in the AHL

You can tweak it the way you want, there is like 10 person on your post telling you you're way off, some not even Dallas fans.

Yes suzuki is under contract and play center but no matter how much dollars he sign for Robertson is worth it and as a much higher production rythm.

Maybe anderson is better than Gurianov but also older and more expensive for a longer period of time.

Yes Guhle should be better than Harley but both still has everything to prove in the NHL.

The pick cant be top 10 in 2023, top 5 in 2024 after your conditions, with that roster anyway its probably not even possible.

You are just wrong my friend its okay

You got to hold up on the conditions on that pick. What do you mean the pick transfers to next year if it’s top 10? The point is for the 1st round pick to be the main piece here. And it’s Montreal’s 1st, so it should be really good, but the conditions you have on it don’t make this trade fair
