Description
Disclaimer: Please Read the Description before Commenting please Haven’t appreciated how toxic some of you have been lately!!

Explanation:
WPG-CHI: Winnipeg Pays Chicago to Take Nate Schmidt and Schmidt Immediately slots into top 6!!

WPG-BOS: Wheeler is Still an Effective Player even into his Mid 30’s and With Salary Retained could be an Attractive Piece for a Team Looking to Guarantee themselves a Playoff Spot while Vesalainen has Stuggled to Consistently find a spot where he fits in the
Jets Lineup same goes with Studnicka perhaps a Change of Scenery for both Prospects is Beneficial as for Winnipeg Debrusk Is a Solid Winger who Can Kill Penalties and Contribute on the Power Play with 27 Goals Last year I’m confident if he were put in the Right Situation in Winnipeg he can Excel.

WPG-EDM: Edmonton Is Currently $6M over the Projected Cap So In Order to Rid themselves of Cap a Trade is how it gets done with Klefbom potentially out again this Year this Helps Edmonton Clear his Contract!! While Foegele Could be an effective Bottom 6 Forward despite his Contract!! The 2nd is a
sweetener Insurance piece to Complete the Deal!! As for Edmonton they get A Beast in Stanley I feel
A lot of people Underrate and Undervalue Stanley on Here he may Be a Complete Offensive Liability but He’s Projected as a Defensive Defenseman And he’s Raw but’s he Really Good and still Getting Better IMO!! Also a New Bodyguard for Mcdavid and Leon!!

WPG-VAN: Witn the Extension of JT Miller the Canucks now Sit over $2.7M over the Cap and with RFA’s to think about at Season’s End so Trading Myers and OEL or Both could be Beneficial!! Demelo is a Solid Defensive D-Man while Kovacevic is a Solid D Prospect!! As for Winnipeg a Tyler Myers Reunion seems like a pretty cool idea and hopefully he can find his footing again in Winnipeg while Dermott has yet to fully establish himself an Opportunity in Winnipeg could be what he needs to Regain his Confidence and have Minor Breakout Year!!

WPG-MTL: I know Montreal Just Traded for Sean Monahan but I Believe that was in Preparation for a Bigger Deal later down the Road!! Dubois will be a Hab!! And though some Habs Fans might not like this PropDeal i feel this is what gets it Done!!

I would get dach out of the middle, I like the gamble on him, kind of a poor man’s laine, I would roll out a ehlers/dvorak/perfetti, and move barron into where Lowry is, and possibly get harkins in with Lowry and fogele, and samberg and heinola possibly together. Nice retool, probably get plenty of guff for it though. Would also like to see what debrusk would do on a change of scenery and hopefully bring a mismatch line to get rolling with the top two lines.

Taking Klefbom doesnt really help the Oilers cap situation, he wont count against the cap as he will be on LTIR all season, like Smith. And I think paying a 2nd to move Foegele is a little much.

The Jets paid to get out of LTIR last season, why would they want to go back into it (Klefbom) and lose the ability to accrue cap space during the season? If they were in rebuild mode this year like Arizona (or were Kelly McCrimmon) then I would understand, but they are not.

Winnipeg can ask for picks and prospects all they want, but Montreal is a rebuilder and rebuilders don't give those up. We'll just sign him in UFA if we want him.

Where is the payment. Hawks decline.

I wouldn't, especially if Wheeler is at the middle of the dysfunction of the WPG locker room

Well I took the time to read your post and think about the trades as you wanted.,,

WPG-CHI: Winnipeg ends up with the higher pick... they aren't 'paying' Chicago for their cap space. Silly.

WPG-BOS: I like this one. Boston gets experienced depth firepower and it's especially good if Debrusk still wants out. But really Winnipeg shouldn't be getting a pick here. I know there's retention, but you're already getting two young players for Wheeler. Vesalainen and the picks don't really do much IMO.

WPG-EDM: In theory it has potential to be good, but if Klefbom is out all season, trading a 2nd rounder just to get rid of Foegele is expensive. I am a Foegele fan but it's a bit of a stretch.

WPG-VAN: First off, Dermott just got to Vancouver for his 'opportunity' so I doubt Vancouver is looking to flip him. Myers has a 10-team NTC and while I don't proclaim to know the 10 teams, it would not be a far-fetched idea to believe the team that let him walk to Free Agency would be on it. And I can't see Vancouver giving up that much as well.

WPG-MTL: Dubois going to Montreal is a cute thought.

I like the post but I do have a question... Do you think this team is good enough to be a contender?

Connor-Schiefele-Ehlers is no doubt a great 1st line but Dvorak/Debrusk - Dach - Perfetti as the second line? That's a pretty big gamble. The bottom-6 look just okay and while the top-4 is only adequate, that Dillon-Dermott pairing could be a nightmare given the unknowns. At least Hellebuyck is no concern!

What do you think?

Boston declines.

Wheeler is 36. This team needs to start thinking about getting younger after this season.

Vesa has no value. Plus they give up draft capital which they are short on.

Nothing about this works for Boston.

So you seriously thing Montreal would give up what equates to more than 4 1sts for PLD. Bad news my friend no team would give up more than a single 1st + B prospect and a cap offset for him.

CHI declines. Your description says "WPG pays CHI to take Schmidt." But then you have CHI sending WPG a 3rd. That definitely isn't happening. Also, Schmidt would just be taking up space in CHI where young players could be playing.

The third-round pick Winnipeg is getting from Chicago is one year earlier than the third going the other way and two rounds higher than the fifth going the other way, so it's actually more valuable than the Jets' picks together. If Winnipeg were paying Chicago to take Schmidt, Chicago would be transferring Future Considerations and even then, a future third and a fifth might not be enough to convince the Black Hawks to take on a $5.95 million cap hit FOR THREE SEASONS when they already have 5 LhDs on the roster right now.

Didn't it take a future first-round draft pick for Calgary to move one year of a $6.375 million cap hit?

Winnipeg says no to all the deals except the Montreal one which they say no to.

They're all really trades for the sake of making trades or trading players for downgrades. None really address any needs for the Jets.

Which was immediately countered by another NHL GM who's basically said the first exec was out of his mind. Try reading the articles before you quote them and look ridiculous.
