Jt Miller bad trades have come and gone. Now we just need Dvorak for Girard ones to go away.

Habs have to at least consider this counter-proposal. Maybe they counter back with Dvorak, Mysak, and the Avs own 2024 2nd rounder ... Girard definitely has more value than Dvorak but I could see him being moved to patch other holes with Byram, Towes, and obviously Makar being the offensive generators on the Avs blueline, and the Avs proved they can win a cup without Girard playing ... he's just a bit too pricy for a #5 d-man in a salary cap world.

Those aren’t the lines because that never gets you Girard.

Nope. I don't think Habs are bundling up those type futures + Dvorak. Girard is good and all but that getting carried away

I’m curious on market value. What’s your comparable on this trade then?

Romanov went for 13th overall is comparable I guess

Probably not in the interest for both teams. Habs don’t want to trade futures and Avs are on record saying Girard is not available. I feel we are beating a dead horse on this one, as the saying goes

he would be the most recent and girards twice the dman romanov is.

girard likely isn't available now but could be by deadline and maybe by the offseason

Obviously they are at different points in their development curve so I don’t know about how that works out in value.

I expect habs to go after a Barrie or Holl more than Girard. Makes no sense for Habs to be giving up that return at this point of their rebuild

yea girard is further along in development but even when you compare them at the same age girard was still miles ahead.

Sure.
Habs decline any kind of overpayment it would take to get Girard. Makes no sense they would do that at this point in their rebuild.
I expect someone will step up and will overpay for Girard for what it’s worth.
