32 in 32 lineups - St Louis Blues

Created by: zk97
Team: 2022-23 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 4, 2022
Published: Sep. 4, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The St Louis Blues have such a deep offense that the top 9 could probably be rearranged in almost any way and you'd still have an absolutely solid top 9. The defense is absolutely solid as well, with four top 4 defensemen and three good third pair guys (as well as Scott Perunovich and Calle Rosen in the minors).
However, after losing Ville Husso, the goaltending will be a little bit suspect. Jordan Binnington came out of nowhere to lead the Blues to a cup a few years back, but he hasn't been worth his 6M cap hit since then. Maybe they could have Joel Hofer come out of nowhere to lead the Blues to a cup?

Why do folks always act like Binnington has just been straight garbage since the Cup? He was 7th in Vezina voting the following year (making 4.4M, mind you), and was still above league average the year after that (still 4.4M). And if Kadri hadn't injured him, the Blues very well may have knocked the Avs out last spring. He was awful for all but the first several games and the last several games of last season, but still nowhere near the abomination of someone like Grubauer (who makes 5.9m). Hopefully, the late season revival proved to himself that his mechanics and confidence are back in working order, because they sure blacked out a lot of nights last winter. I'm more worried about how many starts the fascist will get.

That Binnington injury was not Kadri’s fault that was who pushed him into Binnington’s fault

I swore I’d never argue about this again, but I’m not how sure Rosen pushed kadri while skating in front of him

Binnington shouldn't have been in the paint, where goalies stand? Wow, man. That is some desperate nonsense, but at least it's original. tears of joy

Lol, ya well technically he starts the play outside the paint to the top right and jumps left across the top of the paint and at the point of contact only his left leg and hip are in the blue..

But if if's and buts were candies and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas

Oi vey... he was in the paint when ran. You guys won and still need to cling to these delusions.

As stated in the video, Rosen didn't push Kadri into Binnington, but he does bump him, causing Kadri's course to change, thus the collision. IMO, neither Kadri or Rosen are at fault. It was garbage luck and sucks Binner got hurt, but his reaction (as well as the players reaction in the following game) really put people off. It was absolutely childish and a garbage response to a play where nobody was at fault. Also, as much as I like STL, theres no way they wouldve beat COL, regardless of Binnington's status
