Description
Don't know how or why but I imagine if Barzal doesn't stay in NY, that he would end up in Seattle and not Vancouver if he's trying to get closer to home, even though they have Beniers and Wright already.

SEA would be stupid to give up that much in draft capital for another center right now IMO. They need to see what they have with Beniers and Wright first, then make a push toward contention.

Lol, I just offer sheeted him cuz it's the fastest way to get him onto the team. I wasn't going to even sign him at first but I felt like someone was going to say something.

I'm guessing most don't read the team explanation without a prompt but this is what it says:

"Don't know how or why but I imagine if Barzal doesn't stay in NY, that he would end up in Seattle and not Vancouver if he's trying to get closer to home, even though they have Beniers and Wright already.

Yeah, it wasn't meant to be an actual offer sheet, I just set the year to 2024-25, and just "signed" him to have him on the team.

Ahh, so your premise is that he's a UFA at this point?

Not necessarily, it's just that if Barzal does decide to leave NYI and "go home" I think he would end up in Seattle since they would be making a push for contention in the next couple of years, and chances are that one of Beniers or Wright may not be ready depending on the timeline to be a 1C/2C on a playoff bound team. So, if this happens next year, it could be the less developed one getting traded in a package for Barzal.

The only way I see Barzal in Vancouver is if it's an exchange of Pettersen but unless both guys want out I don't see that happening.
