Edmonton fans are delusional. Stop dumping your trash on Buffalo, and why would they pay for an ECHLer

Barrie is still a good player he’s just not worth 4.5 more like 3 million as a powerplay specialist. He replaces Chychruns spot in the lineup, will produce points and they’re out of that money a year sooner. Also they get a known name back for the college crowd as a bonus. They need LW’s and Foegeles still a young player again not worth 2.75 more like 1.75 but there’s upside there and the yotes have tons of capspace it’s not an issue the next two years of those deals. Samorukov former 3rd round pick will be a top 6 dman and Petrov is more highly touted than you probably think he projects to be a 2nd line winger at least a 3rd. Pure goal scorer. Adding the first I think it’s a good trade.

Leafs could use a veteran as a 5C for insurance. At 300K retained so a 950K cap hit for just this season it’s a safe bet. Something I think they’d consider. Maybe a 5th is a bit much, maybe just a 6th 🤷🏼‍♂️

You’re right we would have to pay to move him. More like giving up a 7th or even a 6th cause he’s overpaid at 925K. But he would get a contract as a 7/8 Dman at 750K, so to take a 6th along with for a team like Buffalo with cap space for a depth piece is worth taking on.

I'd just give future considerations instead. he lacks size as well. but hes an alright depth forward. and we already have so much of that. I'd love another spezza. I guess it could work but I'd rather give up a bag of pucks

The Sabres dont need more depth, and every single D man they have under contract is better than Koekkoek
