When one of Drouin or Monahan comes back, Slaf will he sent down in the minors, after that I don’t know who will get scratched

they really gonna burn a year of slaf waiting for drouin or monahan to come back. they shouldnt keep him more than 9 unless hes clearly better

He’ll play 20-24,he’ s on contract so he just won’t have his rookie season burnt

burning a year of ELC is worse than preserving his rookie status....I dont think management cares that he is Calder eligible or not more than unnecessarily burning a year of a contract, that would be pretty reckless from seemingly a now savvy front office group

Unless he comes out and dominates the first 9 games forcing montreals hand to keep him up, I agree there probably is little to no chance he plays more than 9 games. Its the smart thing to do in sliding his ELC.

Why is there too many guys? Slaf back to Laval and Armia/Pezz extras that's it.

Playing devils advocate, Pezz plays better than Byron; then you have 6.6 mill to sit as extras.....that's too much wouldn't you agree?

Who cares if it's too much in the press box while we're rebuilding? Byron's gone at the end of the year anyways.

The point is they care! Which is why I stated 'somethings brewing'. Dandy, Byron, Drouin and Monahan are all on one year contracts and some will be dealt with sooner rather than later. IMO Maybe even Armia and Hoffman. All good players but it's finding the right team and deal to unload them.
