COL isn’t in the business of helping other teams with their cap issues, at least not unless it is at a massive premium.

They had no room for space at deadline last season. Landy on IR add Manson, Lehky, Sturm, and Cogliano

You’re not getting appreciably better and your helping a cup rival not to mention Hornqvist is at an age where he could fall of the face of the earth. Doesn’t make sense.

Compher is expiring after this season, and Kaut is a fringe NHL player. The main piece is Colorado getting a Finnish young center who's on a good deal for 2 seasons
