Jets take on some cap problems from Vancouver but get the best player in the trade in Garland.

Van saves about $4M in cap, Barron is waiver exempt for this season if they wanted to send him down for a bit more cap space to do something else in free agency maybe.

Poolman was actually pretty decent in a 3rd pair role with the Jets, just wasn't cutout for top pair work. Dickinson would get reunited with Bowness and provide some NHL depth.

This is how I'd make the lines and D pairs, if Gus isn't providing enough offense would try any of Dickinson, Gagner, Harkins or even Wheeler there to see if it works, would try Perfetti there too, the kid really should be developed at center but I doubt the Jets will, they love turning centers to wingers for some dumb reason.
