Montreal is stuck with Gallagher. His contract is unmovable.

dont see the preds wanting to take on a long less productive contract. especially a center and losing a good young player in the deal.

So Nashville trades away quality youth in carrier and Parssinen to downgrade at center (Johansen is closer to a 1C than Dvorak) and get a poorly aging winger contract they don’t have much use for considering their youth and pipeline at wing (L’Heureux, Kemell, Evangalista, Tomasino, Trenin, Jeannot, Tolvanen, etc). Nashville also ends up in a worse cap position. I think Nashville would have to pass

Absolutely no reason in the world for Nashville to consider this ridiculously one-sided deal. Johansen is more valuable than Dvorak despite the cap difference and Carrier, an upcoming young defenseman who shows every sign of being top-4 caliber, is more valuable than the $34 million veteran and declining Gallagher. You could take out Parssinen and add a second from Montreal and this would still be a bad trade for Nashville.
