Description

Pay whatever to dump Ryan & Foegele. 2 picks & a prospect, I based it on the cost to dump Kassian, Ryan + Foegele is a bit more cap, so I added the prospect. Ryan is a UFA after this season. Prospect can be different depending on what the receiving teams needs would be. I chose the Ducks because they obviously have the cap space.
I think Barrie will be traded next summer before the draft, hopefully they can recoup a pick or two that was tarded away to dump Foegele, Ryan, & Kassian. Then sign a cheaper UFA for 3RD like Mayfield or Gudas.
Disclaimer: I think Broberg should be playing full time, but have a feeling he gets bumped because of Murray. But with Murray being injury prone & Woody sometimes going with 7 dmen, he should still get his looks.
Lavoie, Bourgault, & Niemo top of the list for call ups from the A
Signing Janmark was a waste, especially giving him $1.2, hopefully thats the last we see of Holland Red Wings nostalgia.

That's an awful lot to dump a quality bottom six forward in foegele. Don't need to pay a team to take Ryan could just waive and send to Bakersfield.

I think that's a bit of a overpay for Oilers to dump contract. Sending a 3rd or something with the cap dump seems about right

I can promise you Holland is up to nothing. The guy has the creativity and foresight of a ladybug.

He will continue to overpay his players (Nurse being the first) and run this team into the ground. It's a shame since I think everyone on the planet would like to see McDavid win cups.

Uh... Ryan can be buried with a minimal cap penalty and he's a UFA at the end of the season, so there's no need to trade any assets to move him. He's a 25 point veteran RHC who won 56% of his faceoffs last year. There are teams that would take him for free, but that would be silly for Edmonton to do that as they aren't going to find a replacement for less money.

Foegele is a valuable player, NHL GM's have shown over and over that they love this type of guy and will pay through the nose - both in trades and in free agency - to get them. See Hagel, Coleman, Goodrow for examples. Yet you just paid more to move him than the cost to move Zack Kassian? Really? Your logic meter is on zero this morning.
