Everyone counting them out - what if they surprise

Description

The Canadiens do not have bad players. They have players who have been hot and cold. They have players who have been injured. But there are not a lot of players on this team who cannot contribute offensively.

This team will be terrible at defense, but if they play offensive firewagon hockey, how many points can they put up?

Players who I think will put up 10-20 more points than last season:

the habs can have a lot of scenario in offense .
personaly i'd like to try LW-Dvorak C-Monahan RW-Dadonov as second line , that way Monahan and Dadonov don't loose value for the TDL.
i also think Slaf will start the season in AHL until the habs trade one forward .

They probably still miss the playoffs as the 7th-10th worst team, but if they do get amazing goaltending from Allen perhaps they can make it but it will be tough to get a division spot for them, and the wild card positions should be a dog fight, if they are a bottom 3 team though I would be surprised, I expect them to be like 4th-7th.

Hughes said at the Dach presser that Drouin, Monahan and Byron could all start the season or only miss one or two weeks

During the press conference welcoming Dach on Wednesday... Kent Hughes answered a question from Arpon Basu saying they expect Byron to maybe miss a week or two but that they are expecting him to play and contribute this season.

I mean... I'm not holding my breath on Hoffman... But it would be a real redemption story if that line scored like 65-75 goals.

In terms of offensive production, I'm expecting a significant improvement on 2021-22. I'm personally really disappointed with the lack of production that they had in previous years, there was obviously an issue with how they were playing or something, and I think the coaching change is the key to having their offensive problems solved. What I just meant was that even if they have a ton of production doesn't mean they are going to be winning enough games to secure a playoff berth.
