Cause real hock fans know he has value unlike trolls who claim he is just a cap dump. Armia is still a top 9 winger on most teams in the NHL

It’s a horrendous deal. Armia isn’t a bad player but his contract is worth double his actual value.

He’s a good fourth liner lol. And he’s not worth two thirds lmao.

Considering most analyst's have him as a middle 6 forward, given his skill and possession matrix, I think you seriously undervalue him just like most who said Lehkonen was just a good 3rd line winger. Also the deal was one 3rd for Armia and one 3rd for Struble but since you completely ignored Struble being in the deal you obviously are just trying to start an argument.

Asplund is a better and younger Armia. The Sabres dont need anything from that MTL trade and pass

Comparing Lehkonen to Armia is beyond ridiculous.

It was a habs fan that made the post. Not a sabres fan. so of course they over-valued their own players like always.

Gms around the league over values MTL players more than Capfriendly Habs fans does

Comparing Lehkonen to Armia is like comparing Mark Stone to Brendan Gallagher.

Are we talking last year or in their primes?

Struble is an unsigned college kid playing out his last year of eligibility and due to become a free agent on August 16 if he doesn't sign with Montreal, so his trade value is virtually nil.

Both. Stone has averaged almost 0.9 points per game OVER HIS CAREER, while Gallagher has never approached that level for even one season, and Stone is indisputably the better defensive player. And even though he was injured for a longer time last year than Gallagher, he STILL scored more points in 37 games than Gallagher did in 56.

Less so, if you are trading his rights to a team with two first overall picks at his position, Samuelsson, Bryson, pilut, clague, and our own flight risk- former first rounder Ryan johnson. At least they haven't used the played out - "well the Sabres suck, so you can't tell me that our leftovers wouldn't beat out everybody on their scrub filled roster".

That’s fair — but I really liked prime Gallagher
