This is silly, Muzzin was an excellent add at the time. 1 bad season doesn't make him a bad one

If they didn't get traded in different trades already, they would probably be trade bait+in CFACGMs galore, and in similar situations as Robertson and maybe one would be like Sandin/Liljegren, having some games in the NHL or worse off.

Not to mention the fact that, while his bad performance being due to injury is unfortunate circumstance for him vs just a slump or regression due to age, it does mean that there is hope that he returns to good form if fully healthy, even with some natural regression.

The trade was fine, at the time it happened it made sense. It was the resigning that can be questioned for that term and cap hit.

muzzin wouldve been great on a more physical team with more guys who play the game like him, its a shame because hes been the main target in many games and he doesnt have a team behind him that iw illing to join or protect him

I didn't pay too much attention to him in the playoffs myself, I just remember that he was a bit slow to getting up to pass near the end of the seasons when he came back. It is worth mentioning though that the Muzzin-Holl pairing was struggling before last season though as well, but he was definitely still at top 4 D even then.
