As an Islanders and Jets fan this is horrendous for the islanders

The isles are getting fleeced in this trade. Change Wheeler to Perfetti and add Brad Lambert as well

People don’t seem to understand or want to acknowledge the different in talent between Barzal and Dubois. Just gonna remind you all that Barzal is

A) Not a malcontent.

B) Had similar production to Dubois

C) Barzal had Parise and Dubois had Connor

These two teams should join forces, one punt on next 3 years, and other should push all in for next 3. This trade isn’t it though.

And Barzal is just flat out more talented then Dubois is.

What a brutal trade for the Islanders.

This is a horrendous trade for NY. This isn’t prime Wheeler. Dubois is good but ain’t at the level as Barzal and Nelson. Heinola probably will ally in the AHL and the first round pick might not even be in the top 10.

I really like that people have caught on to the fact that Dubois isn’t even as productive as Nelson

I will consider adding Perfetti or Lambert but you have to take Wheeler as well or the 1st from the Jets comes out of the trade. Wheeler had to be added in order to stay under the cap for the Jets.

Dubois isn’t even better than Nelson tho lol. Isles aren’t going to make this trade lmao.

First off if you offered Dubois, Perfetti,, Heinola and a first for Barzal, NY might still say no. Swapping for Wheeler for Nelson in the deal kills any chances of this happening.

You are only looking at this from Winnipeg’s perspective, and because of that this deal is very one sided in their favor.

The isles aren’t trading either of their top six centers, and they certainly aren’t trading both of them in the same deal.
