Nylander walks way before the hawks are ever competitive again. Hawks don't want him. Prospects and picks are all the hawks want.

Kane half retained for kerfoots cap dump, knies, and tor 23' first is the bare minimum. Add from there depending on how many teams Kane will waive to.

Realistically I doubt he waives for Toronto unless they trade for a NHL caliber starting goalie.

You can trade Willy for more picks tf, It’s a Top 6 Guy with 2 years & 70+ point reputation , retain 3 mil & that’s a huge way to get some picks or prospects

Knies is untouchable 1. , 2. I think playing next to Auston Matthews & Mitch Marner + a Solid defence & tandem of high upside is more than enough to waive to Tor

Only player in torontos organization that's untouchable is Matthews. Saying otherwise is just homer silliness. Kane wouldn't be playing next to marner. They're both RW. Going to a team that can't get past the first round with good goaltending that downgrades to terrible goaltending doesn't sound very appealing.

Or you can do the leg work and trade willy and flip the return to chicago for Kane. Hawks won't have any retention slots after this season. Not wasting one on willy who's contract is already cheap.

He Would Wave To Toronto They Are A Cup Caliber Team

They couldn't make it out of the first round last season with good goaltending. Now they have one of the worst goalies in the league. Not a cup contender until they fix that.

Ilya Samsonov And Matt Murray Are Ok I Could See Them Bounce Back With The Leafs

Rodion Amirov has brain cancer, He's not being traded.

Zero chance in hell that Jake Muzzin is waiving for Chicago. He's not deliberately waiving for a team that's purposely tanking for Connor Bedard.

I just read something saying he has been recovering well, is already skating, and eyeballing a Nov/Dec return to hockey.

Murray is mostly a gamble because he can't seem to stay healthy and his cap hit is stupid. He was bordering on being considered an elite goaltender just a few years ago. If he can stay healthy and get in the groove and the team plays well defensively in front of him, he should be just fine. That's a lot of "if's" though. Samsonov could potentially be solid too. BUT, they could both just as easily turn out to be a huge bust. Dubas had the opportunity and cap space to go out and get a goaltender, but, regardless of how the season ends up for Murray and Samsonov, there were much safer and cheaper bets available that he completely squandered.
