Sorry but there's nothing linking both Kane and Toews to Pittsburgh, And i doubt either would waive to go there.

Pit doesn't have the pieces to get Kane alone.

Realistically speaking, I assume if Kane were to get moved it would be at the deadline. At best guess, in order for most teams to even acquire him they would need a third party team to broker as a cap facilitator. That amount would still leave the acquiring team at minimum 2.75 mil in cap space needed. Chicago is going to want a bidding war but I am not sure that is going to happen with the acquiring team also needing to likely shell out an addition 1st just for the cap facilitation. With that in mind, I doubt Chicago gets more than a prospect and a 1st for him.

2 mil in cap does not cost a first round pick. And if chicago only gets a first and a prospect for Kane then that is gonna be a really good prospect which pit has none.

Really?! You wouldn’t take Jarry, Owen Pickering and 4 first round picks for Kane?

yeah exactly this is exactly why they leave Chicago for Pittsburgh. also to play with the two best players of this generation.

Cap space is gold right now. The Jackets had to move Oliver Bjorkstrand to get cap relief. It absolutely would cost that much. Most of these type of trades are with players that have cap hits around 5 mil or so. Kane is at 10.5 mil. That is a lot of cap space to occupy. Point is Kane is likely to be prohibitive to most playoff teams bc they generally are spending to the cap and don’t have space.
