STLVT

Created by: Rotheisler
Team: 2022-23 Calgary Flames
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 10, 2022
Published: Sep. 10, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not sure if this would work for both sides, mainly just seeing how the money would work and looking for a simple solution to a playmaking winger on Kadris forehand side (RW). VT may be ideal and doesn't eat future cap space but may be a high price for only 1 year of control. Sexy line up though.
EDIT* I forgot about Ruzicka, so I signed him and put JP to the Wranglers. Doesn't require waivers and they are in the same city so better he get playing time, and I thought AR was good in a B6 role.

Tarasenko's rental value isn't that much less than Pastrnak's so I see this as a fairly surprising take from a Bruins fan.

Personally I think the trade is pretty fair if it fits teams needs. But I see it as more of a deadline thing and maybe without retention

Yea Our gm doesn’t retain at all so that won’t happen
I also would rather have Pelletier than Zary
And Kylington would be very unneeded here too

Counter offer: Make it Coronato, Lucic and your 23 1st for Tarasenko, and you have a deal today.

You would prefer the more NHL ready prospect? Thats not surprising.

Zary will very likely have a significantly better year actually playing top 6 and on special teams in the AHL this season. He is also a center prospect unlike Pelletier.

Is the Leddy deal the only reason you don't like the addition of Kylington?

Calgary would never do that for a rental

A rental and a cap dump. cool But yeah, I know. I'm just negotiating here.

The Blues aren't rebuilding and have 6 NHL level LDs. You can talk about value, but if it isn't the right value, it ain't gonna fly. Like you said, offloading Tarasenko has to be worth it. The package above ain't the right value.

I dont think you are understanding. IF they are trying to move out Krug and or Scandella (and Tarasenko) which is widely reported despite a "non-rebuilding team", then they are going to need more cost effective D men to replace them, (this is all IF) hence I think actually Kylington would be a non starter from there end to leave in. Zary is only a few years off, and if you really don't want to rebuild, then that's fine, we will just keep our 1st, and gladly take yours too since you wont need it. You say your not looking to rebuild on one reply, and the other you say you don't want the only established NHL player in there. Nobody is giving a core piece for a UFA forward at 7.5M in todays cap space. I understand you would like more, but just not gonna get it.

Just curious, who's your 6th? Rosen? I wouldn't call him much of an NHL defenseman.

Yes, Rosen. And he's played solidly for the Blues. But if you wish to consider it 5 instead of 6, the point remains. I like Kylington, but they aren't going to spend value in a Tarasenko trade on another LD.

I was simply asking about who the 6th was in your opinion, not about the trade
