nobody is paying a 2nd for Kerfoot you'd be lucky to get a 3rd at this point

Kerfoot and his 750,000 $$$$ payment makes sense to team like Arizona who could flip at the TDL. But c'mon we have seen what players "trade value" are at going into the season......his trade value is about a 6th rounder right now....,maybe a 3rd at TDL

I still think that really doesn't help the Leafs cap. 1.75m retained and a 750,000 replacement cost the 2.5m in cap which would save the Leafs 1m (and get third.)
Gotta think the Leafs need 3.5m Kerfoot gone, and 750,000 replacement which saves 2.75m in cap .
Your offer is fair but just don't think it gets the Leafs to where the Leafs need to be for cap reasons.
