He was on pace for it last year and he was coming off ACL surgery. Lmao.

Lee is going on 33, he’s almost done.

Lee and Anderson’s numbers at even strength are virtually identical btw.

I wouldn’t take on Anderson unless I got Montreal’s 2023 1st round pick with no protection. And btw you got to take back bailey and Panik in the deal.

Idea Anderson can fetch a positive return like Beau is ridiculous. The dude is a glorified Joel Armia. What a joke!

Intelligence ain't really your strength, heh.

Actually there were reports from Friedman earlier in the offseason that they wanted Anderson. Sorry bud, you don’t have to like him, Old Lou loves him.

Actually that’s not true, there were no reports that Lou wants anderson. It’s actually the opposite, he doesn’t trade for players like anderson with 0 hockey sense

Not everything materializes. Are you going to sit there with a straight face and tell me Lou wouldn’t love to have Josh Anderson? He might as well have been created in a lab by Lou himself.

Anderson is the exact opposite type of a player Lou would trade for.

Beauvillier is more of His type of player which is funny that you added him to this trade. Beauvillier is the best two way forward on the islanders and a proven playoff performer

What’s funny is you saying that yet Beauvillier is exactly the player they’ve been shopping for 2 years now.. and Anderson is the exact player they have interest in according to Friedman. Lou loves his power forwards and he can score too, that’s a bonus for Lou.

Beauvillier has never been shopped, teams called on him. There's a difference.

Friedman never said the isles were interested in Anderson. Prove it though, post the clip. Anderson is not a power forward, he's not smart enough and doesn't make any consistent tangible impact to be labeled one

Even strength points per 60 minutes over the past two seasons

Lee: 1.92 points per 60
Anderson: 1.62 points per 60

Lee destroys him in points per 60 overall. You are not very smart lol

Points per 60 is just a manipulated stat that means nothing. What matters are overall points and they are virtually identical at even strength. Definitely not a large enough gap to warrant Lee making 7 million a year. Huge overpayment for a 50 point player.

The only major difference between Lee and Anderson is that Lee plays with Barzal and Anderson plays with Dvorak lmao. Put Anderson on the Isles and he’ll rack up power play point just by default like Lee does.

Anderson has terrible puck skills and isn’t consistent enough shift to shift. He isn’t a forward forward

Shout out to you for not understanding what points per 60 is, it’s not manipulated. It straight up puts every player on the same level to see which players are most efficient in the minutes they get.

They are not close at even strength and Anders Lee is elite on the powerplay, while anderson is one of the worst powerplay forwards in the league. Lee also drives offense, Anderson is a passenger. They aren’t close in terms of overall impact no matter you say. I already posted the facts, if you want to ignore them that’s on you

Anderson has been terrible on the powerplay his entire career and he’s had equal if not better talent to play with on Montreal than Lee has has had with the isles. Anderson just sucks; there’s no way around it

You forgot to leave out that a significant amount of Andersons ice time was with suzuki and caufield - he’s not racking up points with those players because he sucks.

Thanks for posting the bar graphs lol. Tbh I don’t even bother doing it because people either do their own research or they don’t want to educate themselves lol.

So you make a bunch of baseless claims about how Anderson is really good, the perfect player for Lou, and equal to Anders Lee, but then come up with BS excuses when you are emphatically proved wrong. Adorable

Habs fans are still clinging on to the hope that Lou trades for Josh Anderson when there has been no legit claims from any insiders that the islanders are even interested in him.

What is true though is that Hughes originally asked for Beauvillier months before the draft when the islanders inquired about Romanov - Lou declined. When Dach was made available that’s when Hughes had to panic and accept a trade for a package without Beauvillier
