Description
I have wanted ZAR for a while. I hope they can sign him. I saw his player card a few months back and I was like "Yes that".

Hatthaway would be a nice addition as well and his cap is nice.

Subban for the fun :)

Downgrading to Hathway and having Sandin on a contract he will not sign is fine tuned?

It's a 1 year deal for Sandin. Look at Brannstrom at 900k and Anderson (LA) for 1m on a 1 year deal. Sandin will get anywhere between 900k-1.3m on a 1 year deal. And I think a 1 year deal is possible. Every year he signs for, the cap goes up quite a bit though.

Hatthaway is exactly the type of guy the Leafs need and the cap works. Like it or not, the Leafs have to do something to make the cap work.

This bottom 6 looks really good. D corp looks very good. top 6 looks solid with Robertson being the one question mark in there. Goaltending.... sigh haha.

Kerfoot is a good player and worth his cap but it is clear in my mind that he will be the one to go. They have a need for guys like ZAR and Hatthaway and need cap.

The cap already works and Sandin is not signing with the leafs. The money isn't the issue. Anderson signed for 1m to play top pair on his strong side. Sandin has already made it clear he will not sign for the pisition you are offering.

The cap works if you go to a 20 man roster. Meaning it doesn't really work.

I will believe what you are saying about Sandin if he isn't signed in a few weeks time. He doesn't have negotiation power. He could just sit and play in Sweden for the year. Also " Sandin has already made it clear he will not sign for the position you are offering" - Where did you hear this? You spoke to him directly? or you just going off reports that the negotiations have stalled out for now?

Directly from Lewis Gross. He made it very clear that Sandin will not be signing to play on his weak side. He also said he won't be signing to sit in a press box. I believe he will be playing in the shl this season. Maybe if we have an injury he signs.

Its a broken record at this point but I don't care.

WASHINGTON. ISN'T. TRADING. HATHAWAY.

Don't know how many times Caps fans need to say this on Leafs ACGMs but it's simply. not. happening.

Kerfoot Is more expensive and doesn't fit with the Capitals, with Eller and McMichael already grabbing 3rd line duties and Strome already slots in at 2C. Meanwhile, Hathaway fits well in the Laviolette system, plays up and down the lineup quite well, is incredibly strong defensively with Dowd and Hagelin/Jonsson-Fjallby/Sheary on a line. Washington has no need to trade him as he brings a better cap hit and the only player Washington would likely consider moving out for Kerfoot would be Eller, which Toronto wouldn't want as it would be a lateral move. The trade in nearly every form simply makes no sense for Washington.
