Gallagher would be a healthy scratch on the Canucks and OEL is our 2nd best defenseman taking a lot of the load off Hughes defensively

ARI took 2nd and 4th to dump Nemeth's contract, sure for two years but that was only 2.5 M per year.
I think more than two 4th would be the case here. It will be a first. Similar to what MTL took taking on Monahan.

MTL will not be paying anyone just to move expiring contracts. We're in a rebuild if you didn't realize. Plus, Hoffman has 2 years and Drouin has 1 year while both have been trash. How do you value Hoffman at a 4th while valuing Drouin at costing two 4ths...math seems off to me.

The PLD trade to MTL train left the station long ago, it got derailed early. Nobody is putting that train back on the tracks anytime soon.

We definitely do not need another D to play on the left side, between LD and LW/RW we have a huge surplus of bodies as it is. Not to mention I just can't picture VAN doing that deal.

We didn't go after Dach to play him as 4RW either, I don't disagree that he could be shifted to the wing but not 4RW.
