I'm gonna guess that Buffalo would rather have an eager young prospect than a proven malcontent who has yet to fulfill his draft selection.

You either really overvalue pool party or don't know who Jack Quinn is

Edmonton has two players you can get Jack Quinn for, and you don’t want to trade either of them.

Calling this trade laughable is offensive to laughable trades. This is the worst trade I’ve seen since the Holl for Necas and Anderson for #2 trades were all over this site.

Funny Edmonton declines too. If moving jp would want proven talent back not a prospect. Keep in mind Edmonton is the competitive team here.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but Jack Quinn is already better than Puljujvari. Arguing otherwise is like saying Barrett Hayton is better than Mason McTavish. It’s just appalling.

Quinn is on his ELC and he’s better than pool party. Don’t be a homer bro.

Pool Party value is nowhere near Jack Quinns value.

Dude, Jesse is rapidly approaching reclamation project territory, if he isn't already there. Oilers fans may believe that selling low would be a mistake on Jesse, but I think the bottom has yet to truly fall out on his value. He has had 4.5 seasons in the bigs with two kicks at the can separated by a season in Finland to get his head right. He is big but he doesn't play the body. His best points total was this year because he was on a line with McDavid, and once he got demoted, he was invisible on the ice. He had 4 goals and 6 assists in the last 4 months of the regular season (January-April)

He may flash his potential from time to time, but so does Drouin, consistency is part of being considered a great hockey player, and Jesse doesn't have it. How much longer do you let this experiment continue?

Already better? He has next to no sample size to even Guage. He might be better offensively but not even close defensively which is a huge part of what makes jp more valuable to Edmonton.

The only fair comparable sample size to go off of is their stats in the American Leauge. Jack Quinn ppg in the AHL Pool Party is not (.69 ppg). Jack Quinn is a goal scorer Pool Party was drafted to be scorer power forward, he hasn't lived up to that and it's not even close who has more value at the moment.

The Sabres laugh at this

My whole perspective was that Buffalo values the advanced stats more In this deal and sees him more as a better fit in the top six

I'm suggesting it's a trade that both sides wouldn't pursue. I think Quinn will be a better point producer in the NHL but Jesse is extremely sound defensively and right now that's more important for Edmonton.

If you were offering Puljujarvi in exchange for Casey Mittelstadt the Sabres might be more willing to entertain that idea. But even then I think they might say no.

You don't trade top prospects for underperforming advanced stats darlings.

Hinostroza and a pick could make sense, or something involving Barrie too

Even if those advanced stats are projecting him as the next Nichushkin?

You say that like it changes anything about the value of this trade.

Buffalo counters with Bryson for Broberg. I mean Bryson is more proven than Broberg is right? So it makes sense for Edmonton.

If Buffalo took his advanced stats into fruition (which they would) and I could see him being a solid 2nd line RW in Buffalo, it'd be a lot closer than you guys are making it out to be haha
