Heiskanen overrated??? Nobody who’s not a fan of Dallas speaks on how good he is, I’m sure most casual fans don’t know who he is.

If anything he’s underrated.

Because he's viewed as a 50-50-100 kind of guy, when in reality he's more of a 40 goal-ish, 40 assist guy

Lindholm, Heiskanen, Palat, Laine, Point and Pastrnak have nothing to do here

Point, Pasta, Miro have no business on here. I'd also argue that everyone rips on Laine so hard that at this point that he's not even overrated because everybody on this site says he is

Chiarot Holl pair seems out of place as most view them as terrible (but that’s too generous).

Top 10 goalie?

I mean he almost single handedly took out the avs this past year and lead a literal last place team to a Stanley cup
Aside from the middle of this past year and 4 covid games hes been amazing
so yea hes a top 10 goalie

He was great in 18-19, then was a decent starter for a couple years before posting a terrible season last year and losing the starting job. 6 playoff games doesnt make him a top 10 goalie

My top 10 are (not necessarily in order)
Vasilevskiy
Shesterkin
Hellebuyck
Saros
Andersen
Sorokin
Markstrom
Demko
Kuemper
Varlamov

I think theres a big gap between Binnington and any of these guys

I just dont see it.

Kuemper last 4 years GSAx: 8.3, 8.71, -0.95, 15.86 for a total of +31.92
Varlamov last 4 years GSAx: -8.72, 1.33, 9.82, 3.7 for a total of +6.13
Binnington last 4 years GSAx: 8.85, 4.56, 3.3, -10.39 for a total of +6.32

Binnington and Varlamov are close cumulatively over the past 4 years but in that span Varlamov's only bad year was at the beginning of that range while Binnington's was in the most recent season. If we change the comparison range to the previous 3 years we get:

Kuemper last 3 years GSAx: 8.71, -0.95, 15.86 for a total of +23.62
Varlamov last 3 years GSAx: 1.33, 9.82, 3.7 for a total of +14.85
Binnington last 3 years GSAx: 4.56, 3.3, -10.39 for a total of -2.53

Then the difference only gets worse when you use the most recent 2 seasons and when just comparing their most recent seasons

I don’t agree but I can sort of see why you have Pastrnak here. He is a bit inconsistent and you can just tell he’s not going to do well a certain game just by seeing his first few shifts, and he doesn’t break out of that trend. But when his game is on he is great with the goal scoring. He is not recognized enough as a top 20 player but other times people too often look past his flaws.

But I don’t see how you have Lindholm on here. He is right near being a top 20 defenseman but I never see him on lists. You can say whatever about him with his days on the Ducks but right now he’s on the Bruins and has played terrific every game. I just don’t see him get any attention at all so he really can’t be overrated. He really has a phenomenal two-way game.

I actually do agree with you that Point is overrated. Great in the playoffs but I see people say he’s a top 10 or 15 player which is so untrue. His stats have been going downhill for a few years now. Of course he’s really good but he plays with Kucherov and was a minus rating last year.

Boesers always been a 25 goal 60 point guy. He had a down year because his father was dying. He’s also great on the walls and good in a matchup role. I don’t think he’s overrated

Problem with Laine is that he was way too good as a teenager (18-19 y/o) so he was overrated, but his game was flawed and eventually hit a wall. He had to reconstruct his whole game so now he's back to elite level but is still underrated by some because of a few difficult years

Lindholm, I have never seen him overrated by anybody, a lot of people don't know who he is but he is one of the best 2-way D-men out there. However he's not as good as he was a few years ago (which happens when you play on a bad team). We'll see now that he is with the Bruins if his regression was a team thing or individual thing

Eh not really he’s still not the best offensively he can’t play make or drive play he really only has a shot and people still think he’s good offensively when all he can do is shoot
