Description
All former Blackhawks players or players hawks could have drafted recently. Yes salary cap was a concern at points but if Bowman knew what he was doing he would have done whatever he could to keep players like Teuvo and Panarin.

no one really had seider even at six wasnt it a surprise pick and a reach at the time

That’s not really fair to say, At the time Dach looked fine & wasn’t a bad pick. If it was a pick they traded away then yeah i get it but Seider is dreamland, That’s like saying if the Leafs Took Debrincat & Aho instead of Korshkov & Dermott

Jeez some of these are reaches...

How many teams passed on Oettinger or thought the Seider pick was a reach?...

DeBrincat was also the steal of the draft that Bowman picked and Davidson traded for a mediocre return.

The Panarin trade was terrible... but it was also Bowman that brought him in initially.

etc etc.

It's really just the Seth Jones trade and signing that completely derailed everything.

Seider and Sillinger don't belong on here. Seider to the Wings was considered a huge reach at the time, and there's no guarantee they would've taken Sillinger in 2021 since they had Dach already. Also not sure why Leddy is on here, either. He was traded as a cap casualty in 2014. You might as well throw Saad on here too if you're including Leddy.
