Not sure how I feel about the CGY Trade. I realize you need Muzzn to make the AAV work, but then we have Muzzin. Lol

true but you dont have Lucic anymore either, i am not sure i like Lucic in the top 6 either lol.

I feel Engvall slotting there, he is working for a nice contract this year like Mikheyev did

if that is the case i think it would be a solid deal for both sides, CGY has more than enough D that they dont really need weegar.

Right now Huberdeau is set up to eat Looch's entire contract next year. With this trade that no longer works and instead he is eating into the Weegar extension money.

In other words Calgary is still stuck with a bad contract next year instead of using their cap space on more effective players.

Weegar would be gone, so it couldn't eat into his extension. But it's a bad trade regardless.

how can you say that Nylanders contract is bad? 7 mill for a 30+ goal scorer, averages .78 ppg.

I'm not sure that Lucic can play in the top six for the Marlies.
