No **** any team would be sucking if they lost a top 10 Center and top 5 RW in the league.

Imagine if Toronto lost matthews and nylander
Florida barkov and Reinhart
Tampa stamkos and point

It goes for everybody lol if they loose 2 stars

His point remains!

You're confusing If & When.

They wouldn't suck nearly as bad if they didn't mess up the 2015 draft so bad!

Bergeron and Krejci retire

Pasta to UFA status.

Yeah the Bruins are probably heading for a rebuild here.

All teams screw up, simply go to: cf - tools - drafts. It's a total crap shoot! But ya, that was epic.
Mathews leaving TOR will certainly hurt. Although those two markets can attract good UFAs with that cap

we wouldn't have lindholm and hall and stuck though i mean id prefer barzal and chabot but our cap would be so tight right now.

the barzal pick was outrageous he was supposed to be a top 5 pick i was screaming when i saw we traded for 2 more 1sts as i knew barzal was supposed to fall due to injury, but zboril was higher ranked then chabot so i don't blame them for that mess up. i did want boeser aswell. i thought connor was a reach at the time so couldn't have predicted that

my 3 picks i wanted were barzal/ boeser and 1 of chabot or zboril because we needed a future 1st pair LHD to replace chara.

That also doesn't account for the cap hits the Bruins will roll over from bonuses this year. Less money to spend on trying to be anything.

Really Kucherov missed the entire 20-21 season and Stamkos missed more than a 1/3 yet they finished 6th in the league in points and won the cup. If that team sucks give me all the suckage you want.

Find one team in the league where you can’t say that if you take 2 of their top 4 players out of the lineup

Which is what they should go for (rebuild) once Bergeron retires. No guarantee they do it

Big difference between a 56-game season & a 82-game season and that was while playing in a division with 2 other good teams + being able to replace Stamkos and Kucherov with LTIR.

Agreed, I'm not sure Don Sweeney will do a rebuild. I think he's a kick the can down the road kind of guy.

No they weren't replaced. Same basic team that had just won the cup minus Bogo, Shattenkirk That reads like a like of back tracking to me!! ok 2 good teams 🙄. Excuses

They weren't "replaced" because the Lightning could just keep two of Killorn/Palat/Gourde/Cernak/Sergachev instead of having to trade them and Stamkos being placed on LTIR let them acquire Savard.

If we include Kucherov to the opening day roster:
Palat-Point-Kucherov
Killorn-Cirelli-Stamkos
Coleman-Gourde-Goodrow
Maroon-Johnson-Joseph

Hedman-Rutta
McDonagh-Cernak
Sergachev-Schenn
Foote

Vasilevskiy
McElhinney

This is a $90.03M cap 21-man roster with no extra forward. Salary cap was $81.5M that season. Kucherov being placed on LTIR was the reason they could keep at least two players so "Kucherov was replaced"
