Description

Looking at SJ its one of the crazier teams in the league. Somehow at the cap, with little chance to compete for the next couple of years. Would they consider moving Meier for a good amount of futures and picks?

Cap issues are coming LOL, but would be a fun run for this season and Leafs could look at moving one of their $5 million defenseman or one of Nylander, Murray, ETC.

As a Leafs fan we expect most UFA's to go to Vancover or Edmonton once their contract expires this trade would likely walk Bunting out the door for 2023 unfortunately.

The goal though is to compete every year for a cup, not just get one and then end up in a rebuild type situation in a couple of years.

They will probably look to move him next off-season, before the draft if not at the tdl. They will wan't a ton but not that much.

The Sharks accept for sure, but I do wonder how Grier would view another undersized forward as one of the key prospects in the deal.

It’s crazy how nylander has no value on this site but timo is worth 2 first rounders. 2 first round quality dmen and a bunch of other pieces.

He sees sandin and niemela with 2 first. And accepts right away. This is a horrible trade for the leafs

he might be 24 but he just dropped 26 goals in the ahl in like 56 games. he could be a full time player in a bottom 6 role imo

Not saying that crazy package is justified but Timo is the more complete player doing what he does on a far worse team. Power forward vs non-power forward.

More complete isn’t accurate considering nylander can be a center. Also nylander has a Better TK vs GV ratio
