Its a PTO its not like they paid him 3M. Theres no downside apart from bad publicity from the lawsuit. If they sign him the cap hit will most likely be under 1M so even if he doesnt perform well they can bury him with no cap implications, and if he does perform well then they get a player on a cheap contract

It really isn't he is a bust and in the best of times he is a ok 3rd liner and that is not worth the baggage that comes with him, he is just a former high pick.
