Holtby has an injury that likely will end his career, unfortunately for him.

I'll name Jay Beagle and Garrett Sparks as 4th LIne/3rd goalie depth

All this talk of PTOs makes me wish there were PTOs (and moreover training camps) in NHL franchise mode. Would be a nice addition.

that would be cool but then again in those games u can sign a guy for league min and if he isn't good enough or there is a rookie u would rather be playing u can all ways trade the guy for a 6th or 7th. But training camp is a really interesting idea.

Wouldn’t hate that but there’s not a lot of room for anyone like that really. Particularly as far as contacts are concerned (the leafs have 48 right now).

NBA 2K has a training camp screen for the offseason where you can pick a player and pick a training set (ex. basic fundamentals, perimeter defense, strength conditioning, etc.) and their attributes improve. That would be a good base.

Especially for Dev camp that could work in NHL

Kris Russell is also like 110 years old (as is Jay Beagle, who is older). I don't necessarily think anyone would want either of them in my eyes.

He probably should make the opening night lineup based on merit, but the isles don’t want to offend Matt martin so it’ll have to wait another year.

New strategy is to just force everybody off the ice during the season. He will consistently be the best player
