Bobcat’s Post Game Notes, PS Game 3
Jackets win, 4-1 over the Buffalo Sabres.
-Out of everything, I’ve been looking forward to seeing how Daniil Tarasov looks after his hip surgery the most. Is Scary Tarry still scary? Let’s see…
-Emil Bemstrom makes himself visible to the public on a smooth-as-butter one timer. That pass from Stan Svozil was nut-worthy.
-I’m really not liking how Denton Mateychuk has been playing as of late. All he’s done is taken penalties.
-Kirill Marchenko scores his first goal of the preseason on the power play! A very rudimentary play, good clean wrister blows right by Eric Comrie (sidenote: since when was he a Sabre? Last time I knew he was in Winnipeg).
-First period was a dominating performance. We way outshot Buffalo all period long. I like it.
-Chase Priskie (who?) scores. Ouch.
-Other than that, second period was uneventful. Not even any penalties!
-Jet Greaves has been going OFF as of late. Good save, robbing John-Jason Peterka.
-CAPTAIN REDBEARD HAS SCORED TWO GOALS IN TWO GAMES. What type of cruel joke is the world pulling on us?
-Kent Johnson went through hell to set up a good scoring opportunity, but the boys just could not get it done. Good effort from the kid.
-Carson Meyer and Eric Comrie have gone mano-e-mano twice tonight, and Meyer has gotten stuffed both times. Rough.
-And now we take a penalty: Emil Bemstrom gets sent off. PK time!
-THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM! Carson Meyer gets another breakaway on Eric Comrie and this time, he buries it. Good show of persistence.
-We hold on and WIN! Great performance by the whole team, but extra props go to the goalies. Tarry and Jet were ROCK SOLID all game long. You love to see it.
Nowhere near as long as the posts a couple of days ago. I feel like y'all like it that way.
