Not who you WANT to get traded.... But who do you actually think is most likely to get moved?? Tell me in the comments.
The guys in the scratched slot are the ones I think will be up with the club as much as possible. I think they should trade Samo tho, no longer waiver exempt & no way he should play before Broberg.
And as I will point out as much as possible until he proves me wrong... it was a major waste of cap space to sign Janmark, total bone headed Holland move.

Pettersson is a nonstarter. Oilers dont have the cap space for him, nor do they even have a roster spot for him.

They definitely have a spot for him. They need a LHD

In what way do they need LHD?? Nurse & Kulak both signed for term. Broberg poised to take a step & be full time with Murray as a cushion if he struggles. Not to mention Samorukov & Niemelainen looking good in the A.... Oilers are lacking depth on the Right side for both defence & wingers.

He would make your top 4 pretty easily over Kulak and Murray. Hes better than both

Regardless of what you think his value is, compared to Kulak and Murray, Petterson's AAV is simply too much for the Oilers to take on. What's more, RW will be the area of greatest need in Edmonton, if Holland trades away Puljujarvi.

Pettersson creates an unecessary log jam on the left. Kulak is good enough to play 2LD this season. If all goes as planned with Broberg he will slide into 2LD full time NEXT season & they can run Nurse, Broberg, Kulak for the foreseeable future.

Ryan Rishaug has stated that the Oilers are currently exploring all options for Puljujarvi as they see him on the third line and he isn't really happy about that, frees up cap space and they don't have to add a draft pick like they would with Foegele or Barrie.

If and who are dependent on the trade market, and it favors buyers at the moment. So, "pay too much" to move Foegele, or "receive too little" in exchange for Puljujarvi. I would prefer the former, rather than the latter. You can pick your poison.

Man, EDM is in tough here because the logical moves (Barrie/ Foegele/ Puljujarvi) all require less cap coming back to make it work, which in turn makes the value switch from assets to cap space and so little teams have cap space right now.

All 3 guys are worth more than they'd probably get from now till the start of the season but other teams have very little need to pay any kind of asset for them.

If I'm Holland I keep all 3 and hope other team get significant injuries to start the year and then get desperate and ask about these guys. Otherwise, you'll need to move those guys at a major loss.

Yes I am well aware what the media is saying... but they all said that earlier this summer as well. Not to mention that trading PJ creates a open spot on RW that they dont really have a replacement for. Moving Foegele might cost them a mid round pick but at least doesnt create a hole in the roster with them having plenty of depth when it comes to Left shot guys.... and not to mention, if they are suppose to be a cup contending team for the next 3-5 yrs who gives a f***k about giving up mid round picks.

Holding off on trading anyone is definitely an intriguing option.... but man starting the season with a 20 man roster makes me nervous....

Its not ideal in the slightest but there aren't many other options available frankly.

Agreed. Would rather move Foegele, they have plenty of depth as far as left shot guys go & if they are supposedly a cup contending team for the next 3-5 yrs then mid rnd picks should be very much expendable for them if the exchange is cap space.
