But the team would be pretty stacked if they got it to work somehow

yeah I guess, he's gonna get hit and be out for the season again anyway so we may be able to get a RD with his retirement cap space

No. Just for starters, Minnesota has no cap space.

This doesn't even make the team better, and it won't work. So, please give up on this idea asap

No. Top 4 RHD with that retention does not walk out the door for a 6/7th D and an injury riddled defenseman making 5.6M for two more seasons.

You don't need to under rate Holl to really docile the trade.

You're missing Knies, a first round pick for Holl, and another first for taking Muzzin's atrocious, Dubas style contract.

Hard no.

I mean, technically, sure we do. $5.7M of open availability of it, in point of fact.

Only 6 teams currently have more available cap space than the Wild do right now. Stars, Blackhawks, Red Wings, Ducks, Sabers, and finally the Yotes.

Just because we could, doesn't mean we should.

And we most definitely shouldn't.

It's not under-rating him though. It's a spot on analysis.

Holl is exactly a 6th/7th d-man type.
