Not saying everyone here is a bust yet by any means but their development paths haven't quite been as good as some people would've hoped.

Who is able to carve out a very respectable career and who fades away to the khl??

Juolevi is a lost cause. Guys like Denisenko, Poulin, Glass, Kravtsov, Joseph, Thomson, Clarke, and DiPietro haven't been given a chance yet because of the teams position. Clarke just got drafted so idk why he's here. Lafreniere is getting better and better, KK is doing ood. This list isnt really accurate but a lot of these guys can be good if they get chances.

Ya i agree with you. never meant they are busts already just meaning that other players around them look more promising. Clarke is just one because he didn't make team Canada's world junior roster. Never seen the guy play before so not sure what that reasoning would be.

Laffy and KK are doing good. Laffy is just heating up and Kakko plays a solid game, just not very many things happen. As a Rangers fan, im happy with both of their development.

Management/Coaching refuse to give Krav a proper shot, and when he did have a chance it just wasn't enough time to get his footing. Hopefully this year hell get some 3rd line minutes

Brandt Clarke doesn't belong on this list because he's never had a game in the NHL, but the other three Kings certainly do. I think that it's a make-or-break year for all of them, and in Andersson's case may come sooner rather than later -- the Kings have 14 forwards on the main roster plus Turcotte and Rasmus Kupari, so Los Angeles may put Andersson on waivers.

Further down the 5, it will be important for Max Comtois to turn his career around, too.

Ya clarke was a stretch as mentioned in my other comments. Honestly there are a lot more dissappointing forward prospects than d prospects for some reason...

Crazy how LA has such a good prospect pool and has a good young players even tho some of their highest draft picks are on their way to being busts. Kupari and Vilardi and Turcotte have not panned out but somehow the team developed Lizotte, Durzi, Anderson, and Spence to being solid nhl players.

I though turcotte was going to be good and am still waiting for him to pop off. And really hoping Byfield is still going to break through. I love the way that he plays

I would say York's career has gone as expected in terms of NHL ETA and actual NHL play. He's really impressed so far with all of his offensive aspects and looks good defensively too. His poise is what im most impressed with, he looks like a veteran. Not sure why he's here (TK Frost or Provorov would be good substitutes imo)

With Hart, this next season should show us exactly what he is. Though not the best defense core, he'll be playing behind a true structure. but I do personally think he can get back on track and be a great goalie with good structure infront of him

How can you see you are happy with their development without lying to yourself? A former first overall pick, and second overall pick both performing extremely poorly, and not producing. If that is what you are happy with, then that is extremely concerning

Im not lying to myself. Other than some foolish neutral zone mistakes against the penguins, they were solid in the playoffs.

They are top two picks a few years ago. They are 21 and 20 years old. Gotta give kids time to develop. Also, the Rangers jumped a lot in both drafts by winning the lottery. They dont get 18 min/game and they have to compete with more established players.

I feel like people's expectations on young players is too high. If they stay stagnant for two more years, I would be worried. They need to develop, not every player comes out the gate like Selane, Crosby and Ovi. They find their game as time goes.
