Perfect Blockbuster Trade Dubois and Dillon for Dach and Dvorak sign Milano

Created by: FuelYourJets
Team: 2022-23 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 11, 2022
Published: Sep. 15, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Dubois for $3M as a top line C for Canadiens in the 2022-2023 season!?!? Also Brendan Dillon at $3M, until 2023-2024, potentially 2 years. Money retained for a 1st round pick and good trade value. Habs stack up that cap value and pull the Lightning card??...

Offer Sonny Milano a 2 year offer at $2,875,000. It would end at 2023-24 when a lot of money will be freed up. Depending if Milano wants to stay long-term, Jets could pay him well. But if things don't work out this year with Milano, we could trade him in the 2023-24 season.

P.S. I'm only here to try to look for good solutions. If you don't like it you can spend your own time making your own solutions to talk about lmao.

jets arent gonna trade AND retain on BOTH dubois and dillon for two middle six players and a late first. wait until the 2024 offseason, if he isnt signed by then. this package would get beaten for just dubois at this season’s deadline

the response hasnt changed either cause that package of spare parts doesnt get him. unless the jets are way out of a playoff spot by the trade deadline he’s staying a jet for this season and theyll do it again the year after

So Dvorak and Mysak for PLD? Because Armia costs a 2nd to dump (if not more)

That offer easily gets beat, you need to give up quality

Seems like the Jets carry more cap due to retention and get the two worse players of the four traded.

No need or reason to retain on Dillon at all.

Mysak value is kinda high, most Rangers fans would trade Lundkvist, a top 4 RHD prospect, for him. Dvorak is a 2C on a very reasonnable contract, could be flipped for a 1st at 2024 TDL.

A top prospect and a 2C to replace Dubois? I don't think you'll get more than that for Dubois, even as a rental.

LOL... You are offering the Habs a LHD?!

We will gladly trade you Dvorak & Florida 1st for Pionk. You hold onto Dubois & Dillon.

The Jets do this they shouldn't touch Dvorak. If you trade Dubois they might as well fully rebuild. They aren't a good enough team to make waves. Punt Dubois and Scheifele to the highest bidder, Wheeler too if you can. Can probably rebuild around Connor, Ehlers and Morrissey, but you can take calls on all of them.

I think the main thing here is the fact that the Habs have absolutely no reason to trade for PLD.

In fact they would be wiser to just wait it out for two years until he's an FA. Makes no sense to give up assets for a guy who they can likely just sign

Your personal offer and the actual value he'll get are quite far apart then! grimace

the two worse players tears of joy that's hilarious. Dillon is so so bad he's on a completely different tier. So far away from Dach and Dvorak.

Two years is a long time and a lot can happen. But they arent really contending right now so they might as well sit back. Maybe they change their minds and add a legit G and PLD and go for it, but that wouldve happened already

Sure Dillon isnt as good as Dach and Dvorak but he plays a completely different position and adds a different skill set. The habs aren't in need of him or what he brings so the deal doesn't really make sense, but in the right situation Dillon is a great pick up

What is Milano's value? Seems like a guy who should be on a team coming off a 34 point year. Jets should be jumping at these young NHLers for their 3rd line.
lots of posts about kerfoot who is the better player, but would cost the jets something
