That game was certainly one of the most chaotic games I've ever been to, kind of the best outcome for the team in terms of lottery. Couple notes I had:
-Jensen is elite, Norris winner soon...
-Sheary-Dowd-Protas is so much better as a line than Sheary-Dowd-NAK. Protas was all over the ice last night and he's gotten a lot better at starting breakouts and working into the offensive zone. He may have been a very late addition to the lineup last night, but he sure didn't play like it.
-In fact, I felt all 4 lines worked very well in the offensive zone, especially Mantha-Kuznetsov-Smith. Mantha showed he plays well with more ice time, Kuznetsov was pretty decent defensively, Smith was a great forechecker for that line, all 3 came together to have a good game last night. Milano-Backstrom-Oshie was an amazing playmaking line, the Backstrom to Milano goal was brilliant. Ovi-Strome-Wilson should not be tampered with.
-Lindgren was, how shall I say it, rough. A lot of the goals were pretty clearly on him, lots of leaky garbage. Couple defensive plays, including one where Jensen couldn't get off the ice despite clearly laboring in the corner, weren't helpful to him but most of it was on bad positioning or failure to fully control a shot.
-Alexeyev with Fehervary has been pretty decent so far, Alexeyev is also developing his offense well. I hope to see this pair continue to get increased ice time.
