Hawks say no thanks. They scored at a similar rate in the AHL and Mitchell isnt even a forward. Feel like Beaudin is a better swap.

I think for all the reasons you mentioned, is why most teams would rather keep Mitchell for Kaut. Dman are more valuable, especially righty's and he's waiver exempt. Kaut is an ok prospect at this point but he certainly isn't garnering a ton of interest I don't think.

I think the most likely scenario for Colorado with Kaut in a trade is for a 1v1 with another teams waiver eligible RHD that a team might not have space in the lineup for either. Preferably one who has a similar level of potential as Kaut does/did.

Hawks would probably hold out hope with Mitchell still. If you want to discuss Beaudan/Galvas/Phillips that would probably be better

Only guy that I think could fit the criteria (Waiver eligible, RHD, former 1st rounder, similar age, etc) is Urho VAAKANAINEN from ANA.

What would you want for Phillips?

Anaheim just acquired Vaak so they probably aren't interested in moving him yet.

Well they're pretty stacked on waiver eligible dmen this year so if he doesn't earn a spot out of camp, they may not have much of a choice.

COL would do that I think, the waiver exemption would be huge for COL.

Yeah that was my thinking. Mitchell would have a year in the AHL and then take EJ's spot next year.
