No trades just what I expect the team to look like

Created by: CapFriendlysFinest
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 15, 2022
Published: Sep. 15, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I really don't see the Leafs moving anyone. Holl will likely be sent down as long as Sandin signs for under 1.4 million. With Anderson signing at 1x1 and Durzi at 2x1.7 it likely means his cap will fall in between those two on a one year deal.

51 point scorer Kerfoot will NOT be dealt. He likely plays on JT wing or centers the third line.

I expect Simmonds to start in the AHL while Aston-Reese gets a league mini deal to replace him.

Robertson is being given the biggest opportunity to take that second line left winger role. He needs to run away with it or he'll likely never reach his potential.

Expect cap flexibility at deadline, likely making room for someone like Knives or another younger player to score in the top 9.

Line 1 - Dominate scoring line
Line 2 - Good scoring line
Line 3 - Likely a speedy shut down line
Line 4 - You're going get hit line

IMO the leafs have three things that could put them over the top.
#1 - a second line left winger to support Tavares and Nylander. We see it every season, JT and willy go through dry spells and they just need someone competent on the wing to support them through that.
#2 - Need Liljegren/Holl/Sandin to step up and make an impact. You know what your getting from Rielly, Brodie, Muzzin, and Gio they are all going to be solid. But if just one other guy can step up and have a really good season, that moves the leafs from having one good top pair d following by two average pairings, to having Rielly - Brodie, and Muzzin - X be high end d-pairings.
#3 - Solidfy goaltending. Which i think they will, Murray will play better simply playing infront of a better team for the first time in along time and i still think Samsonov has some growth left in his game

You say Sandin cap hit will probably fall between 1 & 1.7 but you sign him for 1m. A little contradictory, me thinks.

There is a 0.00000% chance that the Leafs will either trade or send down Holl so they can play Sandin (or anyone else) on his offside.

If Sandin signs he sits. Sandin knows that. Dubas and Keefe know that.
