Initial Creation Date: Sep. 15, 2022

Description
Could be some interesting name in few weeks.

Others maybe: Valimaki, Maltsev, Studnicka, Leschyschyn, Frost…any goalie
Trades
1.
NJD
  1. Alexeyev, Alexander
Additional Details:
May be on bubble. Caps have 12 dmen that require waivers if they don't make initial roster. My guess, Orlov, Carlsson, Fehervary, Jensen, Gustaffson, Van Riemsdyk, Irwin are in. Carlsson, Alexeyev, Johansen are on the bubble. Nardella, McIlrath out.
WSH
2.
NJD
  1. Kostin, Klim
Additional Details:
Blues have 21 forwards that require waivers. Bubble may be two spots for Leivo, Brown, Walker and Kostin (one spot if Neighbors makes team).
STL
3.
NJD
  1. Vilardi, Gabriel
Additional Details:
The Kings roster decisions at forward will be interesting. It sounds like a lot depends on which young guys make roster. Gotta assume Kempe, Kopitar, Fiala, Danault, Moore, Iaffalo, Arvidsson, Kaliyev, Byfield, Lizotte, Grundstrom, Lemieux all make roster. That probably puts Gabe Vilardi, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Lias Andersson, Akil Thomas in race for final spot unless one is traded (two spots if Arvidsson is IR'ed).

Gabe Vilardi will not be placed on waivers. I can guarantee that.

Lias Andersson on the other hand....

Vilardi will not be waived under any circumstances. The Kings will waive one of Lias Andersson or Jaret Anderson-Dolan.

It won't be Vilardi. Lias Andersson is the one to watch.

Akil Thomas won't be making the team this year. The only three waiver exempt forwards that have any chance are Kaliyev, Byfield, and Kupari. Kaliyev is guaranteed to make the roster, Byfield is likely, Kupari will probably start in the AHL.

Vilardi and JAD are the front runners for the 13th and 14th forward spots, leaving Andersson as the likely waiver casualty. If Andersson has a quality camp, then the Kings will waive (or trade) Anderson-Dolan instead.

So it sounds like Vilardi isnt likely to be candidate. JAD and Lias seem less appealing.

My mistake on Alexeyev. He’s on the last year of his ELC so that’s weird tbh.

For the Blues, I see Levio starting the year in the AHL and Walker as he guy most likely to hit waivers unless they can find a trade for Kostin

Alexeyev will most likely start the year on LTIR and not be sent down. He could definitely hit waivers at some point this year though
