I think it would be extremely hard to trade Scheifele inter-division, especially half retained but Newhook would most certainly be the target and a guy I would love on the Jets!

That's only a bit better than what Blake Coleman returned for 1.5 years of service. I imagine it would cost a bit more than that

Scheif is a loser. Him and Wheeler are apparently the reason Laine left the jets. He's a poor sport and to be honest I wouldn't want him in my locker room. Would much rather keep Newhook

Oh, ok then...
Do you know the guy personally, Scheifele that is?

It's come out that wheeler and scheif were some of the main factors in Laine leaving the jets. And that both of them are locker room cancer sticks. Not to mention the stunt Scheif pulled on Evans the last time he was in the playoffs.. Yeah, wouldn't want either of those guys in my locker room.

What stunt on evans lol? He had a bad hit and he got disciplined for it, like any other player would. Don’t act like he murdered the guy 🤣

He definitely was a contributing factor to laine leaving. But no one knows what really happened.

yeah, taking a guys head off way too late definitely doesn't scream "I'm a sore loser".
jets can keep that guy

Winnipeg's locker room was toxic because of Scheiffle and Wheeler. Need a strong leader in the room to keep him in line, personally think Mac is that guy, just comes down to if another team beats this offer

At the TDL next year this might work. At this year's TDL with the retention, in division, Colorado needs to add.

There's absolutely no way Winnipeg would get Newhook for just a one run rental.

It's interesting how you just seem to "know" things about the Jets locker room. Keep the rumor mill churning until the rumors turn true I suppose.
Ok, the Laine situation certainly looked kinda sketchy.
Of course I don't know what exactly went down, as I am sure you don't either.

Multiple players that have left the organization have commented on it, Paul Stanstny loudest of all. Even the guys in Spitting Chiclets have commented on it and said that the problem is the leadership group, that points to really only two people.

There's absolutely no way Winnipeg trades 2 playoff runs and a full year of Scheifele for his one playoff run price. Especially in division.

This is public information because many players have spoken out about how toxic the both of them are.

You can keep living in denial, but hey, that's on you. I'm not a jets fan at the end of the day.

His one playoff price doesn't include a young ELC roster player like Newhook. As a rental you're looking at 1st + B prospect instead of getting a bluechip already in the top 9 of a cup calibre team.

Unlikely the Jets consider moving Scheifele for the standard, ordinary player at the TDL price. Consistent PPG 1C's aren't available at every TDL. So, it would definitely be an A or A+ prospect and a 1st or a player like Newhook and a 1st.

You could always look elsewhere for a PPG right shot 1C, if the price is too high.

Oh come on, would you be so kind to provide me with some sources, some interviews or something worthwhile?
I have been following along with what the mainstream media has been saying about the Jets for a long time.
And I have googled fairly extensively for comments on Scheifele and/or Wheeler, and I've come up short on actual interviews where players adress the two and the situation.
Mostly there is just speculative articles with vague suggestions of this or that, written by journalists who I suppose have fairly little real insight to begin with.
