I think they'll try Newhook and Rantanen at 2C, and trade for Jonathan Toews at deadline.

We'll see. He's projected to play on the 3rd line which would give him opportunity to pot ~30 points. If he does he will definitely get $2m+, especially as a center.

Btw based on the rookie game last night it seems like he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time in the slot for rebounds and tip-ins. He scored the GWG on a tip-in and had another couple of good chances via a tip and a slot chance on the PP.

jost had 3 consecutive 20+ point seasons and only got his q.o

lundestrom had 30 and got 2x$1.8m. geekie low 20's got 1x$1.4m, boqvist got low 20's on pace for 30's and got his q.o.

i expect the avs to pinch him since they are so tight on cap. i don't think he's arbitration eligible either so i'm expecting more or less his q.o.

Good points. I guess I figure that he might be fast-trackee a little bit salary-wise given that he chose the Avs as a free agent, but that's probably just me reading that into the situation.

In these roster projections I also generally prefer to overestimate than under estimate as I've found that to be more realistic.

How about that Wyatt Aamodt?! Only entering first year pro but he will be a solid 3rd pair guy if a spot opens up next year or so.
