Jack Johnson refused to play for Carolina before. We're not going to take that trash can back now we're a genuine cup contender

Lol think they'll manage without that 6th round pick. Thanks for the in depth analysis

Oh they could even send Johnson elsewhere. But we drafted the f*cker, he can go rot in a rebuild somewhere. Him and Evgenii Dadonov

He's only won the 1 cup. He was traded for Carter, before LA won their first cup. Carolina has as many as he does. If he had signed his ELC, he would have won the cup as a rookie

Seems pretty fair all round. Avs probably prefer to trade their 2024 1st but otherwise not bad.

It’s not about the 6th round pick. It’s about the principal. He earned the nickname Jackass Johnson from Canes fans for a reason. He was chosen because the Canes needed a dman who was responsible defensively and could step into the Canes lineup right away. He blew the Canes off to stay at college, so he burned his bridge with the Canes organization when he did that. He has never played in a Canes jersey, and will never play in a Canes jersey.

Not to mention, until he hit Colorado, he was a bit of a Stanley Cup curse. Which is why almost every Canes fan was cheering for Tampa just so Johnson didn’t get his name on the cup.

I agree the value is probably fair but I still don't like the idea of trading away valuable commodities like this at the TDL for a rental. If the Avs are in desperate need of experienced goal-scoring, I would totally understand a move like this but I hope that isn't the case and they don't need to spend premium assets for a rental.

I like Necas but I wonder why the Canes would deal him - it's not like they can't afford to keep him long-term. I don't know enough about that situation to be able to say much more than that.

Oh I could care less about you jack johnson fixation. I meant the hawks will be just fine without your 6th rd pick.

Okay. We'll keep him. Necas is a stud.
