Avsonot.

Value is fine for Colorado but again... Dvorak sucks and isn't of interest to Colorado.

he is a legitimate second liner with Faceoff madness ... guess you need to understand that the guy played in to horrible blowing up teams ...

Just because a guy played on bad teams doesn't mean that he'd be a good fit on a good team.

we don't add anything this is the lowest offer i've made knowing that Dvorak on a top team would be a 60 pts center !

Lehkonen was actually really good though. His underlying metrics last season in Montreal were off the charts relative to the rest of his teammates, and he was also great in the playoffs the year before. Dvorak isn't a difference maker like Lehkonen.

starting 56% of time with the puck is a difference making to a puck control team like avs for me wink !!

The Avs were one of the best faceoff teams in the league (if not THE best) during their 48 point season. And in the last two years where they won a cup and a Presidents trophy they've been below average.

Situationally faceoffs matter, but in the larger picture they really don't. Some teams still value faceoffs highly, but as an analytics driven organisation it's pretty clear that the Avs don't.

there is little to no correlation between winning games and winning faceoffs. it's only a slightly better stat than +/-

because you need to play the game to see that wink !! When you control the play in d-zone your upgrade your chance to get out the zone ... their is no stats for such thing ... But old player can attest that when you win faceoff you have less stress to control the play. A center who win the puck and can pass the puck well, is a real need in a top team.

I'd like to see you prove that not only does "winning" a faceoff means a team has control of the puck and play in any meaningful way AND that winning a lot of faceoffs directly correlates to winning. Show your work.

Easy no for the Avs. Dvorak isn't that much better than JTC. Outside of CF he's valued at about a 3rd rounder no matter what Habs fans on here say.
