Montreal has 15 or 16 NHL forwards under contract. Anyone they move will be dealt at an extreme discount. Buffalo won’t take Drouin on for Tuch and a fourth. They certainly won’t throw in a RHD prospect to do so. Buffalo says **** no.

Id ask for a better pick and I wouldnt play Drouin. I have no idea where you put Asplund but hes a lock to play 82 games unless hes injured

I kind of feel like this is a cap dump style trade and the return isn't worth it. Drouin can easily be moved at the TDL, if even not for much, better than nothing. Habs are tight against the cap but they aren't forced to make a cap dump deal so they don't need to. I wouldn't do it.
