Ppl say Evans contract is too much for a bottom 6 center. Faksa makes twice as much for 3 years. Its an albatross

Struble is also a good D prospect. There's no upside for Mtl in that trade. You're selling Hoffman at his lowest.

Faksa faceoff stats and pk stats can help us down the middle. I know i sell Evans but add to my dire need in defense. Selling low on Hoffman can be a win to me if a youngster fill the spot in the next 2 seasons. We need to sacrifice few trades to build a team.

Owen Beck looks like the real deal. Easily better than Faksa. Most scouts agree his floor is a guaranteed bottom 6 center in the NHL. His upside is low but he was one of the smarter player in the draft and had the best faceoff percentage in the OHL last season. He dominated the rookie camp game last night in the middle of the ice. The Habs dont need bottom 6 overpaid centers. That may be their deepest position. They need high end talent

till Beck will make the team in 3 years we should add a faceoff man in the squad to support Suzuki and Dach to bolster their numbers on the dot
