Oliver Bjorkstrand wasn’t…. Also the Sabres don’t need anymore forwards either

Not enough for Carlo. A center or center prospect should be coming back the other way

Today Vancouver doesn’t make the Buffalo trade, Boston doesn’t make the other trade.
Two years from now (this is a 24-25 team) who knows what the values of these players will be or what the other teams roster will look like, making it very hard to predict whether the trades would work or not.

Agreed, but I’m saying both teams say no. That being said I think Buffalo would trade for Carlo instead of Garland if both guys r available. The reality is neither guy is available.

Both guys are available for the right price. But the teams aren't desperate to move them, so if they do trade them they will get a good return.

I seriously doubt Boston is trading Carlo. He’s locked in at a great price and McAvoy is hurt rn. Most teams don’t trade reasonably priced righty d men in their mid twenties for scraps.

that's what im saying he wouldn't go for scraps, the price to get Carlo right now would be so much higher, especially since McAvoys out for half the season. He has great value at 4.1 for 5 more years and being 25. Acquiring him would start with a 1st rounder. If a team is willing to pay a 1st rounder and one/two good prospects and a much worse RHD to replace him, I think it would be smarter to accept than decline for BOS. The canucks aren't in a position to make a trade of that price but maybe another team is.
A trade like that would accelerate Bostons rebuild by a lot, because as soon as Bergeron and Marchand retire, its sell everything mode for Boston.

Boston won’t be doing that as long as they have McAvoy

I'd amend that to say Sabres don't need anymore pretty good forwards (40-60 pts) we got tons of them - we could use a franchise level forward 80+ pts - Sabres could also use a forward with a little better size and grit who still could get (40-60 pts) - neither of those types of those forwards grow on trees

Canucks trading away their current best winger who is one our best 5v5 producers for almost nothing would be completely foolish. We don’t have to trade anyonr
