Where do you see Hollander on the Kings? Their forward group is already packed and adding him would only mean waiving more forwards?

They could potentially use Spence in Durzi’s role, but why?

Pearson would be nice, but isn't really needed while DeMelo is. Winnipeg says no.

He was excellent defensively. It would be nice if he could produce more points but the Canucks PP2 was basically non-existent which didn't help. He's not worth his AAV but he's still a top 4 dman

Well OEL is bad has been a known take for so long it can hardly be considered hot. The hot takes are reserved for canucks fans trying to stomach that contract

He was bad the last couple seasons he played for ARZ, but he was actually pretty good in VAN last year. Hes not worth his cap hit, even with ARZ retaining a bit, but based on last season he is still a useful top 4 D man

We've been through this before . . . several times. Hoglander is of no interest to us. We have 14 forwards under contract on the main roster, plus Rasmus Kupari and Alex Turcotte. And our main softness is at LhD, not LW, where Kempe, Moore and Iafallo would be ahead of Hoglander and Turcotte at least has a higher ceiling than he does. And that's without even considering the question of a trade with an intra-divisional rival.

Decent player, terrible contract

His defensive game improved a lot and his offense dried up a bit. Now he is kind of a shutdown guy which is not really what anybody expected from him

I think it's reasonable to expect that he will produce more offense next season, management recognizes they need to get more offense out of him, since OEL won't be glued to Myers left side. After the season he just had, the contract doesn't look that bad actually. Certainly not good, but I wouldn't say horrible

He'll produce more offensively next season if he's not playing with Myers. Canucks 2nd PP unit will also be stronger as well

Overpaid, but still a good top 4 defenseman. I think as long as OEL is able to play at minimum a 2nd pair level, management will live with the contract. I'll bet they don't consider buying him out unless his game regresses to 3rd pair caliber level before his deal is up, which is a decent possibility, but we'll see. I should also mention that in each of the final two seasons of OEL's deal, he's owed 5.25M in cash for both, which is a significant dip under his cap hit, so he might be movable by the 2nd last year of that deal, even if it still costs a 1st rounder to sweeten the pot

This is funny because tavares would be Vancouvers 2nd best scorer with 2nd line ice time and oel wouldn't even make the leafs roster.

That's tough... OEL had more points this year then Muzzin did in his last fully healthy season... Muzzin had 2 more give always in 30 less games this year than OEL... Oh and Tavares would be 4th amongst Canucks Centers in goals this year...

Muzzins last fully healthy season was 53 games long, nice try.
Wow, 4 more goals over 70+games when tavares was coming off a massive concussion and they still had less points than him? You're not doing your guys much service here

You do realize his 53 games played season he had less points... You do realize Horvat played 9 less games then Tavares this year who is 3rd on Canucks scoring Both Miller and Pettersson played one game more.. Pettersson played half the year with a broken wrist so we can use the same injury excuse.. Let's just face the fact you are heavily biased to Toronto players and really don't pay attention to the rest of the league
