Same here, Which is still possible. We'll get our answer in the next 3 weeks or so.

I did, Both games, Really looked good against Columbus and the Dallas game was pretty entertaining as well. Even with us losing 5-4

I'm kind of torn 50/50, I still thought he'd be dominating this tournament.

absolutely Edvinsson should play in GR. he is not ready for the speed of the NHL. needs more intensity and decision making . I see Veleno as #1 center in GR to help dominate that league into the playoffs . Hanas should play in GR

Joe Veleno's brother-in-law was seen shopping for homes with multiple rooms in Montreal West Island. Words are that Joe Veleno will request a trade there if he doesn't make the main roster.

Is that good or bad realistically he is about our 6th center right now.

Let him, With Kasper on the team as early as next year. it pretty much puts him down in the pecking order anyways.

I don't know when he wanted to do something he did it. Maybe he looked a little reserved at times but he was playing his game Datsyuk was the same way. You piss off Datsyuk he'd take the puck skate through the entire team and score but that wasn't his game. That's not a perfect analogy but its thats best I can explain it.

I think that is a mistake like in the AHL isn't going to challenge him enough and thats when you pick up bad habits

At least in GR he'd get top pairing minutes, And he can play in all situations. In Detroit for his first year he's probably getting sheltered bottom pairing minutes at best.

Just finished watching leafs game as well. Edvinsson looked good in the tournament, but not amazing. He made his share of mistakes, getting caught up on rushes, bad breakout passes, giveaways while quarterbacking the pp. He also made some really phenomenal plays. But ultimately I don't think there is enough consistency in his game to be NHL ready.

Also, IMO Soderblom was the best player for the wings. Dude has silky smooth hands and is good all over the ice. I'd be surprised if we don't see him in training camp fighting for a roster spot.

With Soderblom I think he will fight for a spot but I'm not sure he gets it but I also didn't think Raymond would make the team out of camp last year.

Plus with the forwards Detroit has it's a much harder path for Soderblom and then when look at the LHDs Detroit has Edvinsson does have a much easier path.

That's exactly what Stevie said yesterday. He needs to play meaningful minutes and special teams minutes to make the club. If not, he's GR bound.

Here's hoping he makes that decision very difficult for the team.

apparently, Copp will miss preseaon and maybe a week or 2 of main season recovering from abdominal surgery. This will probably be Veleno's biggest chance to show he should stay with the big club.

Maybe that's the reason why Chiarot got a 4 year contract. It ends just when Simon should have a big payday.
